Nosecof Syrup is a unique herbal formulation of valuable medicinal plants for all types of cough and cold. It is effective in both productive and non productive cough as expectorant & antitussive. The major ingredients of Nosecof are Vasaka (Adhatoda vasica) and Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra). Vasaka contains vasicine, which has expectorant, bronchodilator, antitussive, mucolytic and anti-allergic properties. Licorice contains glycyrrhizic acid, which inhibits the secretion of histamine and acts as an antiallergic agent. Nosecof activates lungs for normal functioning. Nosecof plays an effective role in asthma. Butyric and Ascorbic acid found in herbs used in Nosecof help to reduce the excitement of lungs that prevents irritating cough. Nosecof is a safe and an effective, well tolerated and non-sedative for both adults and children.
The leaves, roots and flowers of Adhatoda vasica also called vasa or vasaka were used extensively in traditional medicine for thousands of years to treat respiratory disorders such as asthma. Adhatoda vasica is considered useful in treating bronchitis, tuberculosis and other lung and bronchiole disorders. A decoction of the leaves may be used as an herbal treatment for cough and other symptoms of colds. The soothing action helps irritation in the throat and the expectorant will help loosen phlegm deposits in the airway which makes adhatoda a good remedy for sore throat.
Licorice is the root of Glycyrrhiza glabra eases congestion and coughing by helping to loosen and thin mucus in airways; this makes a cough more "productive," bringing up phlegm and other mucus bits. It also helps to relax bronchial spasms. The herb also soothes soreness in the throat and fights viruses that cause respiratory illnesses and an overproduction of mucus, such as irritating coughs, asthma and chest infections.
Althaea officinalis (Marshmallow) is most commonly used to ease sore throats and dry coughs. The Marshmallow plant, especially the leaves and roots, contains polysaccharides that have antitussive, mucilaginous, and antibacterial properties. Because of this, marshmallow has a soothing effect on inflamed membranes in the mouth and throat when ingested orally, specifically a sore throat. The antitussive properties help reduce dry coughing and prevent further irritation. The remedies made from the maidenhair fern are still used and prescribed by many Western herbalists. Such remedies are used in treating coughs, in the treatment of bronchitis, in reducing excess mucus, and in alleviating sore throat, as well as chronic nasal congestion affecting the person.
Nosecof also contain Ficus carica that is traditionally used for metabolic, respiratory, antispasmodic, and anti-inflammatory remedy. Leaves, fruits, and roots of Ficus carica are used in native medicinal system in different disorders such as gastrointestinal (colic, indigestion, loss of appetite, and diarrhea), respiratory (sore throats, cough, and bronchial problems), inflammatory, and cardiovascular disorders. Papaver somniferum has been used for treating in coughing and other inflammatory troubles of respiratory system. Borage flower and leaves are used for fever, cough, and depression. Nosecof contain Borago officinalis which is also used for a hormone problem called adrenal insufficiency, to prevent inflammation of the lungs. Borage is also used to treat bronchitis and colds.
Lasora, Lisodaa, Gondi, Naruvili and Sabestan Plum are few common names of Cordia dichotoma or Cordia myxa, a tree found throughout India. Lasora tree is used traditionally in treatment for lungs and spleen. Promotes the secretion of sputum by the air passages, used to treat coughs.
Hyssopus officinalis has been used to bring relief for the symptoms of lung and upper respiratory problems like the common cold, bronchitis, catarrh, and asthma, as it is antispasmodic, sweat-inducing and an expectorant (helps with the coughing up of mucus).

Adult: 2-8 teaspoonful single or divided dose daily or as per advised of Physician.

No significant side effect has been observed in proper dosage.

There is no known contraindication

The safety of Nosecof syrup in pregnancy has not been studied. Therefore it should be used with caution during pregnancy.
