Vitakid is a homoeopathic combination medicine prepared by combination of eight medications such as Hydrastis canadensis, Quassia amara, Cinchona officinalis, Abies nigra, Gentiana lutea, Alfalfa, Carduus marianus & Five Phos. It is used in deficiency of vitamin & minerals, malnutrition, Anorexia, Loss of appetite, low vitality, Fatigue, Weakness caused by the disease for a long time etc. The important role of components of Vitakid are described below:

Hydrastis Canadensis: Emptiness in stomach, anorexia, bitter taste in mouth, yellow tongue, poor digestion and obstinate constipation. Acts especially on mucous membranes, relaxing them and producing a thick, yellowish, ropy secretion. Hydrastis is especially active easily-tired people, cachectic individuals, with great debility. Weak muscular power.

Quassia Amara: Dyspepsia due to disturbance of digestive system, flatulence, heart burn, acts especially emptiness in lower abdomen. Quassia has been shown to encourage the secretion of gastric juices, increase the appetite and aid digestion it is used in loss of Appetite (anorexia), Indigestion. & Constipation.
Cinchona Officinalis: It increase child’s digestive activity. It removes dyspepsia and nausea and brings on the taste of food. No desire for eating and drinking. Appetite only while eating, with indifference to all food. Desire for a variety of food, and confused longing for dainties. Weakness of digestion; the food is not digested, if taken too late in the day.

Abies Nigra: Sensation of no appetite in the morning but craving for food at noon and night. Abies nigra relieves eructation with dyspepsia. Sensation of some indigestible substance stuck in the stomach with restlessness at night. A powerful and long-acting remedy, in various forms of disease, whenever the characteristic stomach symptoms are present. Child do not eat though they are hungry.
Gentiana Lutea: Sensation of emptiness in the stomach. Diminished appetite. Stomach symptoms marked. Acts as a tonic, it increasing appetite and removes nausea after eating. Nausea after simplest meal. Aching, sometimes anxious, or else with tightness, or with nausea and inclination to vomit, followed by pressure at the anus. Feeling of constriction in the stomach.

Alfalfa: Alfalfa favorably influences nutrition, evidenced in "toning up" the appetite and digestion resulting in greatly improved mental and physical vigor, with gain in weight. Disorders characterized by malnutrition are mainly within its therapeutic range, for example, neurasthenia, splanchnic blues, nervousness, insomnia, nervous indigestion, etc. Acts as a fat producer, corrects tissue waste. Deficient lactation.
Carduus Marianus: The action of this drug is centered in the liver, and portal system. It is working in left sided pain in liver, flatulence, Constipation, diarrhea and anorexia due to liver disorder.
